no one but these two assholes were even vaguely prepared, poor Jun and Veronica especially tho

Oh, you didn't find it on your own! I shouldn't have spoiled it! [Well, it probably would have been the next one before all that lovely business started but she points it out anyway: It's wrapped in the super bright blue wrapping with a hand arranged bow. But she does settle into opening the very last of her presents and the bikini ... Hey, it actually makes her giggle! Thank goodness the man has style because otherwise she'd be doomed, and she almost sets it aside before she catches sight of those tickets. And ... Her eyes go wide at it, to the point of being nearly painful, in fact.]

This is a lie. [Masaomi doesn't do things like this! He just - he doesn't. And even though he'd given everyone something very grand in the past few hours it's hard for to register that this is for her. That they might go off to a gorgeous place without the kids, without their family, or any of their extra relationships just the two of them. ... And if he hadn't had his vasectomy there'd be zero chance of not coming back knocked up. She doesn't notice the dates of the flight just yet but she will later and there will be a little talk about that. Right now she can't refrain from kissing him, and it's only a degree more controlled than how she'd been with Yamato.] I can't believe you.

[And, in truth, for as expensive as she was she'd have been over the moon with just that: A trip of their own! But the book is something else entirely and she doesn't know how to handle it.]

Wh-When did you -- How? [This had to take ages, when did he find time to start, let alone finish it? And when she looks at the dedication, well. It's true that biological chemistry can't be argued with but there really is something to be said about psychological reactions, too. The love of his life. She can't help thinking about what she said to Nathan - that Masaomi would never give her a ring, he'd never step outside of his ideals to give her what Yamato has in a sense, and she was okay with that - and this only reaffirms her own words. The love of his life, no matter how they chose to live said life together.]

This is beautiful. [She'll read all of it very soon but right now she has to kiss him again, longer this time, tempting fate all over again. They probably don't have too long before they all devolve into pure sex. And speaking of that! She can't help laughing a bit, and it ends up muffled against his lips.] This is so unfair, I just got you an incredibly huge flatscreen.

[60" of pure, high tech glory! It's pretty much the most stereotypical man gift in the world but she had thought he would like it! She'll have to make some stuff up to him later on, too, but that's fine - Nariko loves a challenge.]
