[ Their pack's Christmas tended to be one which was full and chaotic, despite the fact that there were increasingly less children in the house as Yamato and Junko (and yes, Koji too) all grew to maturity. In some ways, this was actually more "kids" than had been in the house for it than in a long time, what with their new additions.

Still: Masaomi, Nariko, Ada, Sullivan, Emily, Octavio, Tom, Yamato, Junko, Koji, Veronica, and Audrey - Twelve people with at least one gift for everyone else, often times more in the case of those who were more generous or had deeper pockets or more to impress others with. The sheer number (even if it had grown over time) is probably what prompted them to set up a grate tree in one of the living room spaces which was probably meant to be a formal dining room and then lay out all the presents from everyone wrapped up under it andt hen sprawled out for a wide area around it all. There's chairs set up in a circle around the room to give everyone room to sit and the first one there (Which if, of course, Masaomi) brought bags for the wrapping paper to go into a recycle.

Also Masaomi has on a santa hat and a fake beard. Both of which Ada picked out years ago, and he wears mostly out of tradition. It's similarly out of tradition that he got up at the ass crack of dawn to sit in the room and eat some rice before anyone else got up, wait for them all to filter on in here usually starting with Ada or Sullivan or in recent years his eldest son so people can start to make breakfast and be ready. But either way, breakfast and present opening in the morning! A white elephant gift exchange game in the afternoon! A big dinner in the evening!

Christmas is a time of togetherness, where there has to be some structure, but there's a lot which can happen beyond all that and often did. Movies watched, songs sung, and even if this year of different and strange for a variety of reasons... well. It was still their day, and everyone would enjoy it. ]

Those were mistakes, okay! [She'd never imagined herself being jealous, and in a way she didn't mean to restrict Koji's actions. She didn't believe in monogamy, but ... But it drove her a little crazy to have seen him with some other girl and she might have flipped a little bit, and really thrown a fit.]

[ In a sense, he's bouncing the question back at her, if she had a want to be with more and more other people once they get past their next year together. [Of the both of them Veronica wasn't the overtly sexual one! She apparently possessed a healthy sex drive when she was with Koji, but that was it! ... But then whatever she and Koji were probably didn't mean too much either, right? How the hell is she supposed to know any of this?]

I don't have any problem ignoring them. [But she wouldn't hesitate to use one of them for her own purposes, either.]

[Maybe he was 'just a shit' but, hey, at least he was hers! Veronica wouldn't pretend Koji wasn't difficult or more than a little unmanageable at times but she couldn't imagine having fun with someone that was milder or didn't act out from time to time. In a sense she was the type to like the sort of bad boy Koji will, or maybe would have developed into a year or two from now.

She can fill him grinning to himself and she answers that by tugging at his lip.

... They'll probably go back to having a lot of sex or just lying around while she tells him about every passing thought in her head. Either route is a good one.]

He actually feels like he might prefer to hear her stream of thought. They had just had a lot of sex, and while he's not opposed to more (heaven forbid, that) the idea of hearing her voice sounded pleasant to him, relaxing after his nerves were honestly still recovering a little after that strange three Alpha moments. So he pulls his lip back to himself and gives her a little look before he pulls her down to rest on top of him with his back once more on the bed. ]

[She tilts her head at his expression but all things said, she reads it quite easily.]

You want me to talk? [It's an offer, like making him a plate at dinner or tossing his laundry in with her own or something. Speaking of which! [Veronica all but rules it now, of course, but the fact remained. Anyway, this is the type of blathering she'll get into.]

[ He did want her to talk. He'll even interject if it seems relevant at the time. Still, he smiles as she lays on top of him, her breasts flush against him and her eyes timed on his fact. He puts a hand up to brush in her hair, and ... well, he'll hear out her blathering. It's good that she's decided to be more okay with the blonde, all things considered. Still! He--

[ Knowing his mom, there's a good chance that she would offer to help Veronica, unless she didn't approve of the girl. And even if didn't, then there's a good chance she might anyway as long as Ada or Sullivan conferred with her on it. The Alpha might offer to help, but he would be leery about money. Koji tilts his head in a way again to his father, but he just gives her a little look at -

[This'll have been the first time she's mentioned it!! But considering that Nariko was more than happy to talk about Koji with Veronica, the young girl was rather sure she had the female Alpha's approval in spades. She hums, though, pausing her chatter to kiss at his shoulder a little idly.] I still have all these different things that I want to do, but the longer things go on the more I wonder how I'm supposed to make it all happen.

Anyway, I'm not complaining or anything, I'm just saying that sometimes it's difficult for a group to accept a new member! I thought it'd be more complicated.

[But whether they accepted her because of Koji or just on her own merits - it lead to the same thing.] Getting used to this school is still weird, though! It's not as strict as my other one.

Yeah she's not getting a response to that immediately. He starts to say "yes" right up until she continues talking and then he just sort of lets her continue. He'll loop around back to that, and for the time being her bookmarks his response by way of kissing her chin ]

[And the thing about that is ... Yes. There are some gentle changes in Veronica's face, of course, she has higher cheekbones, her nose is actually kind of thin in a way that Ada's isn't - but aside from those little differences Veronica is the spitting image of Ada, just as many years younger.]
