[Futurelandia] An Eventful Valentines and beyond (happy new year)

[ Nathan moved into tow and that was awkward, Yamato and Nariko probably have some sort of a relationship and that's awkward, Yamato's been trying to make new friends so that's interesting, and Masaomi and Nariko are hopefully solid as anything after that trip, Nathan and Yamato complications aside. There's a new pack member that Masaomi met at a party and Nariko met in class. It's been over a month since the new year began and the old one concluded.

A lot's changed and yet not a lot had at all.

And frankly, things were probably just going to change that much more in the coming days and weeks. ~~this might be edited to something more poetic later once we conclude more stuff about that other log~~ ]

[She always liked that nickname, though! Maybe it was right to stop using it as she got older but then .... Who the hell decided what was right and wrong anyway?!]

Lana's nice enough. She comes from a middle class family, grew up in a small town, she's totally in love with you and mom, which is a little odd, but I can see her doing pretty well here. She doesn't have a ridiculous amount of hidden depth like Audrey but everyone here would be beneficial to her growth, and she's very lighthearted.

[So it's a mutually beneficial future relationship, and Junko hopes that she gets in.]

Joshua's ... Weird, I don't think I've ever met a guy that straddles the middle so much, y'know? I actually can't begin to imagine what mom ever even saw in him.

[Which is really saying something.] But Olivia said he was pretty devastated, so it might just be that. It seems like he needs a home, and I can't see anything that might suggest he wouldn't fit either. I don't know a lot about that situation but there are some people who are meant to be in packs, so he might brighten up once he's back in that environment. Olivia seems the exact same. I can't say what they might contribute yet, but I don't think they're bad options by any means.

[Junko shakes her head a bit.] One of the great things about packs is that we don't need to leave anyone out in the cold. They don't need to be exempt from the rules or The Talk, but even if it's a temporary stay I think it'd be good for their health to be around us.

Come to think of it, that Olivia girl is around Koji's age, right? Not a full adult, but old enough I should give her a talk if her father joins, just to be fair. I've never really talked with her.

[ He's talked with Lana and Joshua both. That said, he keeps idly stroking Junko's hair and cheek. He knows he's making her do business in their personal time... but hey. ]

[That's the best way Junko can put it, Olivia is so much her own person and so .... Unique that Junko can't even compare the girl to anyone else in their pack in order to give Masaomi a better idea of what he'd be going into there.]

I think she's a person who definitely is her age.

[Yamato is too, but he's become a more forward thinking, slightly more mature type. Koji's definitely fifteen, but he's not exactly childish either. Junko, maybe of all three of them, wins the award for being the most Adult-like while being so young. Veronica is also incredibly balanced and immature, and most days it's a miracle Audrey doesn't just watch the world burn.

Do you know if her and Koji get along? Are they classmates?

[ It's a strange and short question, he knows, but he can't get a picture from just that. Not completely ]

It seems she's actually a bit younger than him.

[Junko stops to really think about it, leaning into Masaomi a little more.]

I can see how they would get along, though. Olivia isn't as confident in herself as Koji is but she's sort of loud and has a lot of trouble vocalizing her feelings in a succinct manner. She's smart, but not exactly eloquent.

[But then, sexual frustration will do that to you.]

I feel like the house will be a lot louder with her in it, but that's not a bad thing.
