[Futurelandia] The Thanksgiving and Early December Post

[ It's been around a month since everything started to change. And frankly, a damn sure more things have changed even in that month. There's simplistic ones, such as Masaomi getting a vasectomy which even if he tried to keep it on the downlow, everyone found out about because of what a whiner he was for his week of medical abstinence and everyone felt after that for how he proceeded to fuck every relevant woman in the house and who would sleep with him out of the house into submission for the next two or three days. Everyone sort of had a rude awakening there.

But then, some changes were bigger and more serious. A new member joined there pack (Veroncia) not all that long ago, and it was much to everyone except some of the adult's surprise. Everyone had to learn their new pecking order and where she fit in with the rest of them. Masaomi and Nariko continued their rituals and continued their seeing other people, to mixed results from both. Audrey was hanging around the house more, though she hadn't had the recommended Talk with Masaomi about joining, despite making this something of a second home for her. And of course, Junko's training continued despite the week long hiatus from it.

Everyone was changing, and everyone was adapting. Yamato even had a sexy car now. And at the culmination of everything, a sort of milestone in the midst of everything, there was Thanksgiving, the lead up to it, and the follow up after it leading into December. A time when a lot of people hung out in one house, and then things got weirdly tense for a variety of reasons. God bess us, every one. ]

[ He really doesn't get it, because he doesn't get what she means about mom (why would she target Audrey, it's not like Masaomi doesn't bone other people - ) and he really doesn't get the whole not wanting to sleep with an authority figure. He's not into men, but wouldn't that be more than half of the appeal? Like... everyone likes and is at some level attracted to their Alpha. There's no reason not to be. But maybe that's nurture. He hums a little and ... well.

There's nothing between Koji and I that knocks it off balance, though. It's fine the way it is because I like him acting that way. [But it wouldn't be like that with Masaomi. He's in a position of power, and if they did do it she'd probably be too nervous about possibly fucking up or not kissing his ass enough. In a way it has nothing to do with attraction (because she's admitted that that quality is there) or liking him (because she does like him well enough as a person, too).

If it was a situation where he wasn't so damn important to everyone, and where the ground between them was at least somewhat leveled then maybe it would be different. Maybe the idea wouldn't make her so nervous and maybe the near primal overzealousness he showed that week wouldn't intimidate her right out of her sex drive. But that's how it is, and as a result something ends up occurring to her.]

[ A beat, and... well, they are friends, right? He's pretty sure they could be good friends, and she might be (he hopes she will be) a packmate. So he relaxes and laughs a little, shaking his head into a shrug ]

You can say it as many ways as you want, but that's what's happening here.

[They are friends, and right now she's treating him just the same as she would treat any friend.] Maybe it'll change but right now I'm really okay with doing what I like within the rules, and I'm willing to accept his leadership. That's as far as I'm going with it right now.

[Maybe circumstances would open up or invite something particular, but she wasn't going to choke herself out waiting for that.]

And hey, that's fine - no one said you had to or anything. It's just... maybe it's just me, Iunno. [ He shrugs a little, laughing. Still, if she's willing to accept his leadership, that's already something He recalls the first time she heard and asked about the rules, how tense she looked then. Maybe she was relaxing in the same way he was. He leans back on the couch, flipping his head back to look at the ceiling.

... Should he go hunt down Junko and Ethan? But this was comfortable now, despite all odds. Sort of ]

I know, it's fine. [It's definitely just Yamato having strong feelings about it, and that's fine, too. In a way she feels bad for not meeting his expectations, but that's something she has to get over on her own time. And in the interest of that, she makes her own executive decision here.]

Well, happy 'white people are shit' day, I'm gonna watch the game, okay?

[She leans up to kiss his jaw but then stands up to effectively dump herself in Tom's lap. He could at least mess with her during commercials.]

That's- [ Not what he meant. It's more like the whole thing is remembered really badly because it's a super botched falsified history--- ... Well, whatever. He groans, accepts his licks, and stands with his hands raised for her as if in mock surrender. ]

[ And he doesn't sound like he has hard feelings about it either, accepting the kiss and standing to put his hands in his pockets. He really does need to go and find Junko. and Ethan. And... and just move past this. He smiles for Audrey one more time and turns on his heel to head off and... do that.
