[Futurelandia] The Thanksgiving and Early December Post
[ It's been around a month since everything started to change. And frankly, a damn sure more things have changed even in that month. There's simplistic ones, such as Masaomi getting a vasectomy which even if he tried to keep it on the downlow, everyone found out about because of what a whiner he was for his week of medical abstinence and everyone felt after that for how he proceeded to fuck every relevant woman in the house and who would sleep with him out of the house into submission for the next two or three days. Everyone sort of had a rude awakening there.
But then, some changes were bigger and more serious. A new member joined there pack (Veroncia) not all that long ago, and it was much to everyone except some of the adult's surprise. Everyone had to learn their new pecking order and where she fit in with the rest of them. Masaomi and Nariko continued their rituals and continued their seeing other people, to mixed results from both. Audrey was hanging around the house more, though she hadn't had the recommended Talk with Masaomi about joining, despite making this something of a second home for her. And of course, Junko's training continued despite the week long hiatus from it.
Everyone was changing, and everyone was adapting. Yamato even had a sexy car now. And at the culmination of everything, a sort of milestone in the midst of everything, there was Thanksgiving, the lead up to it, and the follow up after it leading into December. A time when a lot of people hung out in one house, and then things got weirdly tense for a variety of reasons. God bess us, every one. ]

... Well okay there are some considerations, some concerns, some hiccups. Fact of the matter is that the young man was more responsible now, trying to look after Koji and Junko and running them to their meetings and sometimes even driving some of the proper (other?) adults in the house to places in his car. And he was a little worried about Audrey and Junko? And everything. Still! Audrey was here! For . . . some reason.
She was here in the afternoon before they really had the dinner and he couldn't help but wonder if she should be with her parents. Maybe her extended family was small. He knew that by now, right? Or maybe she was just having fun...
... She smelled like Koji. Still! ]
So, the whole gang's not spooking you?
no subject
Thanksgiving Day should definitely be spent with Yamato, especially since Junko's dealing with her weird training, and the other Kida has been so overwhelming tense lately.
Without answering she reaches forward to pull him onto the couch in the third floor living room. Sullivan had a dumb sports thing on, and she happy gives up her book for him.] Nope! It's been really great, actually!
[Weird as fuck all, too, but eh.]
no subject
[ He kisses her briefly and slides next to her, ignoring the game and Sullivan's watching of it. Too loud, but it was always too loud. He tries not to think about how there's some intermingled scents going on in the room, and instead just focus on his... ... Well, on Audrey. He smiles for her. ]
Still, unless I'm dumb you've been doing okay here.
[ She seems to have hit it off with a few people, at least ]

They were chill here. She respected Alpha Masaomi immediately and pretty much loved the female Alpha just the same. Sullivan was kind of weird but he seemed like he might be cool, Tom and the one named Ada were sort of odd but she didn't have bad impressions of them by far.
It was a lot of change but she'd handled it all pretty well! She was very proud of herself.
And in order to continue being helpful she'd volunteered to help with cooking dessert. Except ...]
Ah, Koji? [He's younger than her but he's got a stronger place here, so when she finds him she tries not to interrupt whatever he's up to.] I don't know where anything is in the kitchen.
[There you go, Koji, a hot, petite dark haired girl is wearing an apron in front of you with her hair clipped up, looking like a housewife waiting to be claimed!
Go wild.]
no subject
...
... Okay that's beside the point. He looks up from his phone, pulls out one of his headphones, and looks up to see her in an apron. He blinks. Honestly, he'd thought the older girl was hot from day one, but now she was right in front of him and he -- he blinked, but then he smiled. He hopped up to his feet and offered a hand to her, trying his best to look charming or something ]
Yeah, okay. I'll point things out for you.
no subject
Thanks! This house is so big I don't know how any of you don't lose yourselves in it!
[Oh but that sounded pretty negative.] I mean, it's cool, though! Cait's place didn't have this volume, and I was bored all the time.
[She's a talker, Koji. Watch out.]

It was probably at about the point where she and her dad actually slept together, or maybe it went back a little farther to when she let Yamato and Audrey do whatever they wanted in the barn. Who knows, but she's kind of a wreck and it's not a feeling that sits well with her by any means. The only real sense of relief results from sex - from anyone, really, but mostly from her dad or any of the men in the pack. Over the last four weeks she's pretty much banged the entire house twice over, with the exception of her mother, who was an entirely different set of problems unto herself.
The good thing was, well, she was really beginning to wrack up experience. Things that used to irritate or embarrass her aren't even worth batting an eye at, and there's rarely a period of time where she isn't excited so there's no more room to be picky or demanding.
Which has ... Lead her to this situation with Ethan, who she doesn't dislike but it's just ... Well, she couldn't really put it into words. Maybe it was just an overall lack of chemistry, maybe there was only enough that she liked fucking around with him. What she did know was that inviting him into the house for an entire day while his parents were gone or whatever was a horrible idea.
Because on the one hand it'd be great to ride him senseless, but on the other she's doing her best to enjoy the holidays, and avoid giving him the wrong idea.]
Fuck!
[She's also trying to set the table properly and it's just not working. She's so excited that her knees are weak, but she's not quite desperate enough to go find someone to help yet, either. Just -- Fuck. Fuck everything.]
no subject
...
Well, it didn't go quite as he'd envisioned. Her rejection had been a harsh blow, not making her fall from grace in his eyes, but certainly coloring his impression of her. He was distraught then, both when it had happened, and when she had refused to speak to him for days after. How she had rejected his text to her when he'd paid one of their debate friends to give him her number. And really, the hole in his heart was only made deeper when he saw her about on the school grounds.
The changes since then, that day when she came to his house and told him that she needed his cock. Well, he didn't expect her to be so slutty. Ethan's own pack was a fairly posh one, all things considered, with most members being relatively cerebral, with heats organized to handle people's regular rotations. To come face to face with her was different. And this house was different too, but he was setting the table with her and- ]
Don't fret, Junko, it's only a minor mistake.
[ come on! One or three dropped plates is nothing. Besides, he can arrange the silverware and show her how dependable he is! ]
no subject
So, sure, maybe she could try and blame her dad's training and her hormones on Ethan's presence. But the truth of it was that she was tired of feeling emotionally left out.]
It's not that! It's ... [She lets the pile of plates clink, threatening to break like the other three she'd accidentally destroyed today.] ... Sorry, it's nothing.
[She has to breathe, has to find some amount of control otherwise she'll turn a third of the house into a goddamn brothel again.]

And in that light, his little crush on Nariko Kida, that woman who he saw at the PTA meetings representing her house and her little shit of a son (... okay so maybe he was a little worried about Koji and Olivia, ever since Lilly's parents gave him a warning) had been something of a simple comfort for him. That simple comfort warped into something else when she had showed and interest back in him. A part of him wondered if she was teasing him, or pitying him. He frankly suspected that this was a part of it. But she helped out with Ariel, clearly liked both his daughters, and they had been ... intimate.
Well, they had fucked around. Truth was, he still hasn't actually put his dick inside of her, as fact he's told her he's old and mature enough to be okay with, but one which was beginning to give him some blue balls. Still, for all his patience in the world, somewhere around one PM on Thanksgiving day, he texts her ]
Nariko, I'm sure you're right busy with your own festivities, but are you going to have any time later tonight?
no subject
For Nariko, who had always been confident when it came to intimacy and sex, it was kind of Earth shattering. She'd been functioning just fine for the past few weeks but in a lot of ways she'd mentally checked out here and there. Not that anyone would really mind - Masaomi was fine with Lisa and all that, Yamato was looking out for his siblings, and Veronica had needed much help settling in. Nariko was free to study and keep working her job, and it's the former that has her attention when he sends that text.
... He's not expecting her to see him on a holiday, is he? But. Well, he might alone with the girls, too. ]
I might. Is everything okay?
no subject
[ Excuse you, Nariko, Masaomi is very interested in you still! ... If anything, it's probably more Charlotte and Junko which have him distracted, if anything does.
That said, Joshua gives his response after a moment, assuming she's probably helping with cooking anyway, so there's no need to be super quick in his responses ]

Because when he comes through the door he'll find her in a nice, rather modest blue dress, her hair done and make-up set. All of it makes her look a few years older, and far more dignified than she's been around this house. And when he comes through she beams, and looks her age again, but it can be a dissonant sort of image.]
Welcome back! [But she doesn't waste any time, because Nariko's home today so she might try to grab her mate before Audrey can, so-] I need to speak with you about joining the pack.
[She's not playing around today.]
no subject
Oh. [ Wait- ] Oh! ... Of course, come on then.
[ and he rolls his shoulders forward. She had been at their thanksgiving and had been hanging around all month. He suspected this was coming, but he didn't quite know when. He's mildly surprised to get it out of the blue, but either way the older man leans forward, smiles, and after kicking off his shoes and takes the blonde's hand and leads her towards the stairs. They're going up to the fifth floor, where he set up the little interrogation room he'd used with Ada decades ago. It's been fixed up since, so it's at least got a comfy chair, but the set up is still deliberately spartan.
Once they get there, it'll be two chairs across a table form each other with one overhead fan light and a window opening up onto the backyard. This room was probably intended to be some sort of an upstairs laundry room given it's layout ]
no subject
But in that room she takes a look around, finds the chair that seems most likely to be meant for her, and sits.]
So how does this go, anyway? No one really told me about the very beginning.
[Ada had mentioned little facts here and there, and so had Tom after they'd had sex and Audrey had been brave enough to ask.]

Rather than fuss, she was going to do something about it. Her solution came in the form of a text. Masaomi Kida hadn't done a very good job of hiding his interest, and Charlotte hadn't really known what to do about it. He and Nariko had been monogamous for so long that she'd repressed her interest quickly in the beginning, to make it easier for their boys, mostly. And now, through a series of events that had nothing to do with her (and frankly, she didn't really care at the moment) that had changed.
So she asked him to help her pick out a Christmas tree while Alfred was at school, and she did her best to leave an implication there. Something more, something less innocent.
She'll know the result when Masaomi shows up to the biggest tree farm in their city. She's waiting near the entrance, long hair done in big, invitingly festive curls that frame her sweet face. She's a little hard to miss, really.]
no subject
Because why not, right?
That was what he had in mind when he'd seen the text around Thanksgiving. It was better to do this than get involved with Black Friday Stuff. He wanted to enjoy himself. And... well, even if Charlotte was a friend (of sorts) the man also was banking on the implication of her text as well. He'd enjoyed fucking her brains out a week or two ago ]
Hoooy! I'm not too late, am I?
[ What a cliche line? Oh well, he's okay with it, because he did want to make her comfortable and this is something which he can easily help out with, even if the hours are weird for him. ]

Nathan wasn't fond of his mother in the least. He'd only seen her beat the ever loving shit out of his sister for years at a time, and then erroneously subjected himself to the woman's endless scrutiny, her unbearable need for perfection without error. Sure, he'd given her a chance after Nariko had decided to cut him off, but overall there was no salvaging the relationship. He hadn't thought she was truly sick, not even when she insisted on blowing up his phone, his inbox, and even his fan mail address. It all stunk of cries for attention, pleas to the one child she deemed 'worthy' and 'perfect' enough.
He heard about it because Matthew, his uncle, had called and told him, and then faxed over the obituary. The crazy broad was finally dead, she'd never terrorize or hurt anyone ever again and he felt ... It crushed him. In the strangest, most unnerving manner he felt hollowed out and left empty. Nariko wouldn't speak with him and now his mother was dead, and his father had gone five years before. He was utterly alone.
And he might have remained that way if their mother's lawyer hadn't insisted on contacting his sister and impressing upon her the need for both siblings to be there. Apparently she relented because Aaron instructed him to go wait at the airport for his elder sister and her ... Mate.
So here he was in all of his tall, broad shouldered glory, pulling at his casual suit, unsure of how to arrange his own limbs. He hadn't seen his sister since they - since he had -- The memory never reared its head without threatening to make him hard, but at least he had the sense to feel utterly guilty, and to control himself. This might be his one and only chance to fix everything, to be in her life, and to meet his apparent nieces and nephews. He wasn't really alone, not in the least, he just had to fix some burnt bridges and get his family back.
And he could do it. Nathan would do it. Over the course of this three day experience, through the wake, funeral, and will reading he'd fix things and maybe ... He couldn't go home with them, but it'd be nice to be nearby, at least. To be somewhat welcomed.
First there was surviving the meeting and for the millionth time he looked at his watch. They'd be getting off any minute now.]
no subject
And then Nariko's mother dies out of the blue.
Really, he knew of her past, or at least as much as she'd shared over the years, largely on paper. He knew the names and the plot beats, but he didn't necessarily have faces to match them and he certainly didn't have personalities or people to match up with those faces he did know. Masaomi Kida was a very bold man, but he also was out of his element now, entering a world he has no say and even less control over. All he could do was be there for his mate, for Nariko. It's probably for that reason that he holds her hand firmly as they make their way over towards Nathan, urging her to lean the arm that has her name on it up against him.
She was his, right? So he'll...
Pretend he can do anything.
Still, he does that, and he lets her start the talking, at least. Might as well let him be introduced ]

It wasn't like Ethan was going to hurt her. Sure, he was a little weird and overbearing and he texted her more than she could ever hope to return, but that was fine. He liked her. When he looked at her it felt like she was the only person in the world, and that was what she wanted. This could work, if even just for the next few months.
That kind of explains why she's at his door in her winter coat, both arms laden with bags as she rings his door bell. Would his parents be there? She'd made sure to dress up very nicely and do her makeup just in case because she'd been lost in the throes of other last minute mall shoppers before making her way over here.
Hopefully he answers the door soon because it's fucking snowing, and she hates the cold.]

He's also in a gaudy christmas sweater, and he smiles as he gets the door for her ]

For the most part it's a lot of smiling awkwardly, shaking hands, and standing in place while people say their piece. Your mother was a wonderful person and This is a terrible loss. A whole bunch of shit from other people that might as well be shit.
Nariko makes it through the first hour before she has to step out of the room they're holding the wake in. For a moment it's enough to duck her head and fiddle with her overly simple black dress, take some deep breathes and remember that she has no reason to feel small in that room. She's a grown adult with a family, with a mate that loves her, and yet being in there - even with Masaomi - is almost like being a helpless teenager. Every single time she looks at them all she can see is ignorance or guilty awareness.
It's bullshit.
When she looks up at catches Nathan's eyes (and right then it doesn't matter to her if he's already looking or it's a coincidence) she tilts her head, quietly asks him to come join her.
She's barely spoken with her younger sibling this entire time and now - well, now it's time to change that.]

But he was trying.
Oh, was he trying. He'd told that idiot she came here with two days ago that they would cover for Nariko, and he was attempting to do just that, taxing himself to a mental breaking point by way of intercepting anyone who would give her a scathing look with some joke or some old story about his mom. The worst thing is that even though he hated her (he was pretty sure he did... he should, if he didn't) most of the stories he told were told with genuine affection and nostalgia in his voice. And it's that, more than anything, which made him want to vomit.
A lot of his own feelings had that affect on him, not the least of which is how his heart skips a beat when his sister summons him to follow her. He nods, taking the cue, and ... well, does that. Follows her. ]
UH this is an awesome start gosh you were worried for nothing

It's as he got older that he realized that, perhaps, some of what his Ma wanted him to do wasn't ... easy? Easy was the right word there. And really, in the last year or two, with his continued exposure to his best (? was that fair to say -- yeah, it was -- ) friend Yamato and his pack life, things had gotten. Well.
Okay it's not like things were coming to some dramatic head or anything, but the tall blonde boy was perhaps a little it naive and a little bit pent up. And it really only got weirder since his Ma started seeing Yamato's dad. She was trying to be covert, but he could smell it on the house and on her. And today, now they were done with their own little personal gift ceremony (the one at the main pack house would be tomorrow) it was Christmas.
It was Christmas and she'd gone for a nap, and he wanted to ask her if he could borrow the car, so he was going to knock on her door. Or open it. But he could smell something before he made it in... ]

But as they neared Christmas and he became understandably wrapped up in his life and the holidays she couldn't help dimming a bit. And returning to her own abhorrently repressed state. Of course she was happy to spend every moment with her Alfred! But ... Well, she missed sex. By the time they make it through presents and her favorite sappy Christmas movie Alfred's patience is likely as thin as her own. She wouldn't dare to call or text Masaomi but she could always fall back on useful habits.
Her 'nap' is an extended visit with her favorite vibrating toy. Her room is violently saturated with her honey scent because she's cum multiple times, used different techniques to get there but it's not enough. A toy isn't a man, but she can't bring herself to give up, either.
So what Alfred walks into is something of a mess: She hadn't bothered to take off her dress or much of anything, really, and in the privacy of her bedroom there's nothing wrong with spreading her legs and working a bright pink vibrator in and out of herself with a wet sound each time. He's likely to catch her in the moment that she keeps one hand guiding it and the other drift up to her breasts, furiously groping at one.
She really doesn't even notice him.]
