He didn't even really get to greet Rin when the man showed up a little over a week early for his planned "call all of his living relatives or at least his brothers and maybe Linda if she wanted to come too" plan.

But hey, he's not complaining, he got something to calm his throat and his his eyes. And so he smiles at Audrey as she leaves (even snickering a little at the "even though I've dreamed" quip before he folds his hands in front of him, allowing the tea to sit for a moment as he turns to face Junko ]

[It probably sounds incredibly harsh, but it's important to remember that, over the course of the last four months or so, she's seen her friend turn into a completely different person. I think it's more that she doesn't want to let anyone down, she gets wrapped up in things like that and puts expectations on herself. That's why I'm around to tell her to calm down about it.

[There's a glowing relief in hearing that. Even though she'd been really upset about it last year it kind of seems like their weird relationship status worked out for the best - they haven't been together a lot, but her mom's got that same glow she had when Junko was a kid, the kind that only shows up when someone so much as says her dad's name.
