[Futurelandia] An Eventful Valentines and beyond (happy new year)

[ Nathan moved into tow and that was awkward, Yamato and Nariko probably have some sort of a relationship and that's awkward, Yamato's been trying to make new friends so that's interesting, and Masaomi and Nariko are hopefully solid as anything after that trip, Nathan and Yamato complications aside. There's a new pack member that Masaomi met at a party and Nariko met in class. It's been over a month since the new year began and the old one concluded.

A lot's changed and yet not a lot had at all.

And frankly, things were probably just going to change that much more in the coming days and weeks. this might be edited to something more poetic later once we conclude more stuff about that other log ]

[ Masaomi shrugs at that comment, and he grins, looking incredibly sheepish, as if he were just taking that for granted. Not that he ever would, and they both know it. He kisses her two more times and then moves on to the next point.

They all belong to him.

A trip every January... huh. He hums a little, not having thought of it, but... ] Well, I did get some big inheritance to allow for it.

[Well that's an unexpected reaction! Since when has Masaomi ever looked sheepish about anything? It's cute to see for a moment, a weirdly humble sort of reaction on a man that's generally brimming with confidence to a point that's almost insane.]

You did, and we don't even have to go through a whole giant rigamarole, either. Renting a cabin in a pretty place for a week is just as good.

[Masaomi Kida is guiding his mate towards cost effective, but fun and bond-worthy vacations.

[ He laughs at that, and kisses her again, whispering out, ]

As if you'd ever let me get away with using air B and B.

[ Or some similar service. But no, no, he follows her, and he considers for many long moments where he would like to go, where they could go... and he finally comes up with, ]

Next year, we'll go to ... How about Okinawa?

[Then there could be an exception! She's trying to be a little better, learn a little more, okay! But while he thinks she decides to kiss his jaw, the curve and then just underneath it, to his neck and ...

Okinawa? Huh.]

I'll take other suggestions! [ That said, tilting his neck back for her and clapping at the air twice, he runs his hand around her sides and seems to ponder it more ] It's just that... well, Yori-san's actually originally from more around Osaka, but I hear the tropics make for better trips.

[It's exactly that and she's ... Oddly proud of him for initiating it all on his own, it's something she wants to encourage before he can possibly hope to change his mind. Granted, she's not the one to talk about facing ones past in measured, logical steps.]

Mmmm, if we're doing that, we're also going to make a day trip while we're in Osaka.

[ Okay, let's say the name. Let's give it power. He's not really sure where his father was from originally, or if they met in Japan or in the US. He'd never needed to ask and not thought about it in some while. The history of most of the women and men who were adults when he was young - well, he knew some of them. Others... not as much. But for now, he knows the name of the city, and it's, ]

[The sense that something big is going on without knowing what it is, exactly ... There has to be a specific word for that feeling. Because he's obviously processing something that he hasn't quite discussed with her, though it hardly invalidates the idea. Right now it's her well loved job to be supportive, not questioning.]

[If it's something they're really doing at the same general time frame then it'll be a while, but she won't let him change his mind.]

[ New Year beginning in Japan... that's... ]

Going to be quite the flight.

[ He says it in a somewhat challenging tone. And perhaps revealing he's either discussed it or googled it before, he adds ] Something like twenty hours.

[She sighs deeply.]

You had better drug my ass and wake me up two hours before we land.

[Because depending on the timing one way or the other she'll either have just had a kid or be pregnant with another one and be leaving a baby behind in the states for the duration of the trip. Nariko is a prideful woman in many respects, but she won't pretend any of that will be easy to handle on top of an incredibly long flight.]

But it'll be worth it.

Deal. [ If you can drug a pregnant woman or someone who was recently babied out. He's not sure you can, at least not safely. But he says it with a grin, leaning in to kiss her again and brushing back her bangs somewhat pointlessly. And he then asks the first thing that coms to mind, when he's pushed past her beauty or how he's lost in trying to characterize her eyes again. ]

Why do people think I have it out for blondes?

[You probably can't drug a pregnant woman beyond benadryl, but a recently given-birth one might be okay. They'll have to figure it out when the time comes! Either way she kisses him right back, and holds his face for an extra moment before letting go.

And then he gives her an easy question.]

Amelia, Audrey, and Charlotte are all blonde, and you pretty much went for them in the same limited time span. [Though whether Masaomi actually shacked up with their resident baker or not has been lost on her - October/November seems like a whole other era.]

That and back in July I made a joke about dyeing my hair to see if it changed your sex drive.

[So ... Some of that concept might kind of be Nariko's fault, there's no way it just stopped at a little wondering on her part, it would have grown into a joke and then a theme ... And then months and months later when it's only an idle thought, Masaomi's suddenly going for three different women who all happen to be blonde.]

[ . . . Okay so he holds up three fingers for her, pressing each of them on a dust off over her lips before he rocks his hips and explains, ]

Okay one, Audrey went for me before I went for her. So that's got to be a break even sort of thing. Two, I never got anywhere with Amelia other than us having a pleasant chat or two, and three... you would look pretty good blonde.

[ . . . That last one doesn't help his case ]

[He completely avoided Charlotte, so she'll have to give him the break even with Audrey because that is definitely true - Masaomi probably enjoyed her because Audrey was just unapologetically opinionated and kinky. Her being a natural blonde was just coincidence.]

You realize when you say things like that even I think that I must have been right.

[But putting that aside:]

I think that's just how everyone is seeing it, I'm well aware of the fact that you're an equal opportunity lover.

[With vague leanings towards blondes.]

You don't need to think that, it's just not true! I mean, you're still you and as hot as can be even if your hair was magenta or something.

[She's never been one to dye her hair a bunch of colors and it's a bit lame to do it at this age, but it'd be fun to try something ridiculous once or twice in her lifetime.]

Does it bother you?

[ Does it bother him...? Not really, not seriously. But it does sort of make him confused and maybe even a little bit annoyed in a more comical way. And so he pouts a little, shaking his head ]

I guess it's fine.

[Her smile becomes a small laugh, and since they're still in this period of easy afterglow she traces the curve of his cheek and then boops his nose just because she can.]

Depending on who is saying it, they could just be poking fun at you. That's the only 'weakness' that can be respectfully commented on.

[Although in certain cases it is being taken rather seriously, so she understands his mild irritation.]

[ Well... Fair enough, right? That seems totally fair, and he shrugs, leaning into her finger and opening his mouth as if he were to suck on it, but he doesn't... do it. Instead, he tilts his head to his side and ...

Well, he brushes back her hair again, leaning in towards her to bite down on her ear. ]

It's great to be with you again. [ Inhale ] fish or chicken?

[What a tease, she'd been expecting a small nibble, at least! Oh well.]

You know I'm bad at stuff like this. [How is she supposed to pick without context?? But she tries to play along all the same, drawing swirls down his back.]

Fish. Probably.

True, I could have meant as a pet!

[ And he puts out an evil laugh at this, roving his hips in tune with it - but the laugh quickly descends into something mirthful and much, much more obviously amused. The Alpha kisses at her own jaw and neck, sort of enjoying being entangled like this and deciding he really likes this stupid game. And so he's going to continue it ]

Lips or fingers?

Okay, then it's definitely fish! [Who would want a chicken for a pet! She rolls her eyes, non-serious and easy to fade as he moves again. This is a ridiculous game that won't win out over actual sex for too much longer, but it's alright enough for now.]

[Her nails skate over the dip of his back.] Do I get to ask questions?

[ He says, as if he had any authority to tell her otherwise... and the fact he sort of giggles in the aftermath of it just makes him seem that much more silly, relaxed. The Alpha isn't quite sure if he wants to try to do this ass from the bottom position this time or move them, particularly with the bed sticky with both of them below it all. But rocking his hips? Feels right, more natural. ]

Lips seems right though.

[ And he leans over to bite one of hers, tugging it back to let go at the end ]

[After the five million and one experiences they'd managed to have together nothing beat kissing, so of course she was going to choose lips! That was just good sense.]
