[Futurelandia] The Wonderful Christmas (and maybe into New Years stuff too)

[ Their pack's Christmas tended to be one which was full and chaotic, despite the fact that there were increasingly less children in the house as Yamato and Junko (and yes, Koji too) all grew to maturity. In some ways, this was actually more "kids" than had been in the house for it than in a long time, what with their new additions.

Still: Masaomi, Nariko, Ada, Sullivan, Emily, Octavio, Tom, Yamato, Junko, Koji, Veronica, and Audrey - Twelve people with at least one gift for everyone else, often times more in the case of those who were more generous or had deeper pockets or more to impress others with. The sheer number (even if it had grown over time) is probably what prompted them to set up a grate tree in one of the living room spaces which was probably meant to be a formal dining room and then lay out all the presents from everyone wrapped up under it andt hen sprawled out for a wide area around it all. There's chairs set up in a circle around the room to give everyone room to sit and the first one there (Which if, of course, Masaomi) brought bags for the wrapping paper to go into a recycle.

Also Masaomi has on a santa hat and a fake beard. Both of which Ada picked out years ago, and he wears mostly out of tradition. It's similarly out of tradition that he got up at the ass crack of dawn to sit in the room and eat some rice before anyone else got up, wait for them all to filter on in here usually starting with Ada or Sullivan or in recent years his eldest son so people can start to make breakfast and be ready. But either way, breakfast and present opening in the morning! A white elephant gift exchange game in the afternoon! A big dinner in the evening!

Christmas is a time of togetherness, where there has to be some structure, but there's a lot which can happen beyond all that and often did. Movies watched, songs sung, and even if this year of different and strange for a variety of reasons... well. It was still their day, and everyone would enjoy it. ]

No. [She grins, though, because there's nothing to say she can't appreciate the offer even if it definitely shouldn't have come out of his mouth in the first place. They're both definitely too old for that kind of thing - knocking heads and shit. [Martin was, after all, a gangly sort of man with no real strength to his name. Masaomi might be older but Emily wouldn't put it past him to still pull some real damage if he was genuinely angry.]

He's decided to stay at school and finish his term project with his lab partner. [She rolls her eyes, finally relaxing enough to lean against the kitchen counter. The stuff that's meant to go in her clutch is still scattered all over the counter, but she'll put it all together soon enough.]

So now I'm going to a party that his club friends are throwing! I don't even know the first thing about Agriculture. Except that it's a lot more complicated than I'd originally thought.

Oh gosh, are you going to dump that show-upper?

[ He says this with some sarcasm largely because he's almost certain that she won't. He's pretty sure they're serious - Emily hasn't actually brought him around to introduce them all, but he'd been hearing about him more and more and he dominated more and more of her social life every day. That more than anything was reassuring.

... Still, an agricultural party? That just sounds... lame. But what does he know, he never went to college. But he knows he does look Emily up and down, looking at the piercings which are visibly above her clothing (ears, probably nose, maybe others?) to assess if she has more "fun" ones in mind. Or maybe even the star wars ones he got for her.

[But she's mostly forgiven that trait of his, too, so nope! Martin is staying around, though she might punish him at some unidentified point in time. With all the graze of a hurried kangaroo Emily sweeps her crap into her purse, it's not that she doesn't note Masaomi's gaze but that she's a little too prideful to react to something so easy. The dress is so tight that she doesn't have a belly ring in today, but her ears, tongue, and the lone nose ring are all adorned in something or other. BB-8 has the distinction of existing in her mouth for now.]

What are you up to? You look unusually aimless.

[ So he counts at least the ones he knows, several in each ear and her nose. But not the belly. So... that makes for - well the number he's not supposed to know across other parts of her body. But she was ... well.

He grins a little in spite of himself. Cumming first? Well, for a girl like Emily, he probably tries a lot. Besides, their connection is probably more cerebral than anything. Though it can't be not physical. Oh well. ]

But Nariko's probably already left with Yamato and it'll be a miracle if they make it back before those two would usually leave to go wherever they do on New Years Day. While the idea occurs to Emily rather quickly she hesitates to speak it for an extra second.]

[Man, when did she and Masaomi last go out and do anything ... It's probably been a while, huh?]

[ If Nariko doesn't show up for that Temple Visit he's liable to show up there and drag her out himself. He's honestly figured he might need to do that well before today. Still, he would be fair! ... It would not be at four in the morning, it would be more like at six in the morning. He'll give her a whole extra few hours.

It's why he had asked Nariko to make sure he knew where they were going. And now it was more mid-evening than anything and-

I don't know any more about agriculture than you.

[ That said, it'd probably been months since he last went out and did something with Emily. Their age gap tended to get in the way (she was the youngest in the pack that wasn't a teenager, after all) but... still. He grins a bit wider. He wouldn't mind having some plan, at least. ]

[Gosh Masaomi have some faith in your mate.

Emily waves her hand again, as if that's not a fair argument at all.]

Which is why it's perfect! We'll both go and have no idea what'll happen. If it's lame as fuck all then we'll leave and figure something else out!

[The power in it is that neither of them will be alone, that's how she sees it.] Come on, go put the suit on, I'll get my car started, and we'll go! [Emily is the oldest of the young ones, yes, but she knows when to be a little forceful and how to maybe push her luck without getting into too much trouble. So she doesn't hesitate to pull and then sort of gently push Masaomi in the direction of his room so that he can hurry up and get dressed.]

[ Well, unless you count the twenty-five year old Tom. He's a little bit borderline all things considered, probably the division line between the young and the old. Still, at that push more than anything, he smiles.

(And he does have faith in her! ... Mostly. He knows he can be a bit more of a morning person sometimes)

Still, he laughs and - ] Okay, okay, I'll put on the suit. Won't be my snazzy yellow one, sorry to say.

[ So he heads on back up towards his room so he can put on the more conventional of the two suits that Nariko got him. So he'll be in a slick black one and possibly be over-dressed for the night. He decides to off-set it by way of putting on one of Sully's ties he borrowed from him years ago. though to be fair, the snoopy part is mostly not visible with it tucked in to the suit.

Still.

When he comes back out he just heads down the driveway, let's get in the car ]

[She kind of snorts at the snoopy tie, just because she recognizes it, but otherwise they're off! She goes with taking her car because, well, she doesn't expect him to drive! Whatever. It's a little bit of a drive to a nicer part of town, near the school that Emily and Nariko both go to, and when they turn the block and she ultimately parks its in front of a house that's maybe a third of the way to being as big as the one they live in.]

Okay, let's do this.

[She's really thinking that they'll stay long enough to be polite and then, who knows, go get pizza in really fancy clothes or some shit. To Emily that's really not a bad way to spend the night! But they do at least have to go through the hellos and the gestures because Emily already promised to show up with or without her boyfriend. When she knocks on the door, her arm loosely wound with his as it's opened and

... The place just smells like tequila, and it's a cute girl with a pixie haircut who answers.]

You made it in time for jello shots!!!

[And then Mara's pulling them both in (supposedly towards the kitchen to down said shots). It's apparently that kind of joint, though the music is low and mostly atmospheric, no one's dancing on tables but there's a lot of talking, some swaying, it's an alcohol and chill kind of deal, apparently.

Color her surprised]

[ Masaomi doesn't chat the way over in her car as you might expect, but instead sort of goes through a few sets of motions. First, he undresses her with his eyes, then he goes to his phone and... texting Nariko would be a little silly now, but he's allowed to have some silly on him - so he texts her something to the effect of "Enjoy the night, babe, see you in the new year! ♥ " and then goes on to text everyone else.

Audrey, Veronica (because Koji wouldn't even look at his cell phone, the little shit), and Junko all get some variation of "stay safe" and after a moment, he sends the same thing to Tom. Ada and Sullivan both get a "good luck tonight" and Octavio gets a "Don't puke on anyone this year"

And done. So just in time for "Let's do this" and-

He's not one to be pulled, but so surprised is he there's no objection to him that he's brought into the kitchen easily with a cheeky sort of grin and, ]

Lucky us! So I get to do them out of someone's naval, right?!

[Nariko's busy and won't see her phone because she's busy in some form or the other, but Audrey responds with 'have fun and happy new year!!' and Veronica replies with much the same sentiment, but hers is worded far more formal. Not that he'll have much chance to see any of that because Masaomi's idea is apparently a popular one, as there are affirmations all around which is made less creepy by the fact that there are people of varying ages here - Masaomi might be the oldest in the room but in a few cases it's only by a max of two years. There are at least two professor types, and some grad students that are older than Emily but not quite at Masaomi's level, too.]

No better way to start the night!

[To be fair, the short haired blonde already had her top off, or maybe that bandeau thing she's wearing counts as a top for someone so thin and petite! Who knows, but Lana's the one to hope right up onto the cleanest part of the island bar, and someone supplies a wiggly little jello shot - though it ends up more on the flat plain of her stomach more than her naval, specifically.]

That is not nearly the naval. So the older man pushes aside anyone who might be there, and brings his tongue up to the wobbly jello - he doesn't scoop or suck it in, rather he rolls his tongue on her stomach to move it to her naval, and then sucks it in, giving her a wink at the end ]

[She laughs at the extra tonguing there, not because it's funny but because she's actually pretty damn ticklish and therefore the worst person for this job but, hey, it was worth it to volunteer! There's a round of loud, unabashed cheers at the smoothness Masaomi displays, and that wink there gets a few growls and lazily thrown out pick up lines from what might feel like every direction.]

[Which means he should share, and she doesn't take any issue with leaning in and kissing him, sliding her tongue into his mouth to catch whatever taste of vodka, lime jello, and that little piece of pineapple in the middle. She might knock over some glasses while she leans in towards him, holding onto his shoulders as she does it, but that's a worthy sacrifice.]

[ Welp.

Hopefully his date isn't too offended - there's no reason she should be, but it does seem like bad form that he somehow lost the grip on her arm/hand while he was coming over her to get involved in the jello shots.

Still, Masaomi's tongue does indeed flow back against hers, trying to steal the pineapple piece back from her even as he swallows down much of the rest of it. She was really bold and maybe it's just this full suit, but it somehow makes him feel quite hot. The growls and lazy pick up lines are background noise for him but-

[Emily's already found someone with pot so chances are that when they meet up again - and they will, because that's how crazy parties work - she'll not even remember how they got here, let alone that he got involved in licking things off of people.

Lana, for her part, gets really into that kiss as everyone else watches with a hyper-focused intensity. She only pulls away to sit upright on the counter in front of him, so that he can get a little closer if he wants. She's already messing with his tie while her tongue curls with his, pulling on it a little roughly.

He was here with someone else? He had stuff to do? If he's forgetting about all of that then she's doing this right, and he's pretty goddamn hot, so she wants to get very right.]

[ At the very least, Lana gets it right enough that despite Masaomi's best efforts, a scent comes out of him that only Emily will recognize. It's only a wisp of it right now, but with a room this crowded, that could still cause... things. At a party like this, all sorts of scents were in the air. It was even entirely possible one or two of the people in the room could be genetic alphas. But either way, right now, he does shift closer to her (to the full edge of the island, with her atop it and wraps his arms around her-

Still, Masaomi stands up straight as she goes, considers fixing his tie, thinks better of it, and looks around the kitchen, hoping he didn't make too much of a scene as he forces his scent down. That felt pretty good, all things considered. Still, there's Emily, so reaching out to steal someone's drink they'd set down on the counter, he waltzes over towards her to see hpw she's doing ]

[She has her reasons, Masaomi! And you'll see her again don't worry!]

Hey!!! Heyyyy!!!! [Emily, meanwhile, immediately holds out both arms to apparently embrace him, and she's even considerate enough to try and keep the smoke as far away from him as possible. Don't say she doesn't love you, Masaomi.] This is so much better than I thought it would be! And my teacher is here!

[Which probably means she shouldn't be smoking but, y'know. Whatever.]

[ He won't, and he thanks her for it because he's do bad with smoke. Admittedly, pots easier to deal with than cigarettes for him, but he still doesn't like the physical smoke all up in his face. But all the same...

He laughs and hugs her back, pulling her in tightly and giving her a squeeze ]
