[Futurelandia] An Eventful Valentines and beyond (happy new year)

[ Nathan moved into tow and that was awkward, Yamato and Nariko probably have some sort of a relationship and that's awkward, Yamato's been trying to make new friends so that's interesting, and Masaomi and Nariko are hopefully solid as anything after that trip, Nathan and Yamato complications aside. There's a new pack member that Masaomi met at a party and Nariko met in class. It's been over a month since the new year began and the old one concluded.

A lot's changed and yet not a lot had at all.

And frankly, things were probably just going to change that much more in the coming days and weeks. this might be edited to something more poetic later once we conclude more stuff about that other log ]

But it makes sense that he might get tired out, right? He's injured, in a sense, and the longer he's up and moving around and reacting the more quickly he'll be worn out, with his usual stamina nowhere to be found. The rest is an entirely fair set of assumptions as well.]

[Yeah well, she heard it in some weird visual novel thing Junko was playing, don't blame Audrey. She plays normal video games like Battlefield and shit. But, yeah, he's done for, so she doesn't say anything else. When she's relatively sure that he's kinda sorta out then it's time to get up and delicately collect all the trash and leftovers.

Audrey doesn't come back for a good thirty minutes, but his door opens again anyway and someone definitely leans over him to feel his forehead.]

[ Someone huh?

Well thirty minutes isn't a very long nap, but it's not like he's got a fever or anything - so he's sleeping pretty lightly. So he stirs a little even as he continues to rest here. He's not quite awake though, just opening an eye half-way and tilting his head ]

[It's not like she meant to wake him up, but apparently he wasn't nearly as out as she'd thought! So Not-Audrey kind of shifts out of his logical vision to tuck against his side, face turned in towards his chest. Dark hair, and a very faint, easy floral scent.

Which probably narrows it down to two people - Nariko or Junko, who are both the most dedicated to wearing perfume without being obnoxious about it.]

[ In his heart, he decides it's probably Nariko. He doesn't dare get up to confirm that and he doesn't really want to push things beyond what he needs to do right now. He probably should rest more, he spent most of the morning on the phone or the laptop trying to keep his business in order and stressing out too much about that and when he gets up again he'll need to do whatever is needed for him to shower.

And so he exhales, closing his eyes again and willing himself to sleep ]

[It can be easy to mistake Junko's voice for Nariko's, it's one of the rare physical traits Junko got from her mother, after all. And while she usually wouldn't answer it felt wrong not to, here, even if it's an accidental lie. Rather than wake him up again she just lies there with him, kind of dozing off herself.

She missed her dad, so fucking sue her.]

[ Hey, no one's suing anyone here! It's a fair feeling to have! Not that he yet connects it, drifting off to sleep with a smile. In the end though...

Well, baring any other issues he'll be asleep for the next four hours or so. So if she's still there or anyone else is there, he'll wake up to that. Or if someone gets him up before then ]

[Junko apparently does the same, though she would swear that she didn't remember being tired enough to conk out like that. But unlike her mother, Junko is an incredibly deep sleeper, so unless Masaomi plans on trying to rocket out of bed she's going to remain curled over him, dreaming about donuts.

[ She does, albeit also a surprising one for a variety of reasons. What was Junko doing here? When did she come here? Why didn't Ada or Audrey or someone shoo her out? Had those ones been back between then and now and simply decided to leave her? His daughter is warm against him, and as he opens his eyes, looks her over...

He doesn't move, but he does wonder.

And he blinks, coming more and more to being awake. It's... still nice to see her, admittedly ]

[All very good questions! None of which will receive an answer because Junko's subconscious has no reason to be alarmed by her father's presence, and the lack of movement keeps her perfectly docile.

But considering that it's probably some incredibly weird hour in the day, one where she really shouldn't be sleeping, it might be a good idea to get her up and moving. Otherwise her entire sleep schedule will be fucked.]

[ Yeah it's only about three? He thinks it's about three - he reaches past her to get his phone off the nightshelf in order to both check what time it is and see if there's any personal or business texts or emails. Which might see Lisa panicking or serve as any explanation for his moment.

Okay, all the more. Once he's done with his phone, he sets them down and reaches around to pinch Junko's cheek ]

[ Actually, he feels Cold down there now, just a little. He reaches under his blanket to move the ice out of the way and set it on the nightstand for a moment.
