In the end he decides to swallow and just respond to Junko's problems because responding to that takes way less energy than just ... like. Confronting Junko's assumptions. Maybe he should let her needle him, but...

[ Even if it's by technicality. He's not a stickler like Yamato or anything, but the fact of the matter is that if you don't tell him if/when he finds out later it's going to be a much bigger deal. Maybe him but definitely Rin and - even if Junko might not realize it - definitely Yamato would explode in the crossfire too. Koji's not really arguing the point too strongly, just sort of making a broad accusation.

[There's nothing accusatory, or particularly angry about the question. She doesn't understand how it connects, and in a way she's linking the gravity of the situation to taking their dad's car out for a joyride when it's really a lot worse than that.

He gives her a look and then rolls his eyes before allowing her that moment. That's fair enough, because he sort of just rolled on right past her little commentary on Veronica ]

[Though to be fair she seems like the type that could guide anyone from the edge of just about anything if you talked to her long enough. She's really nice, which is why she's great for Koji. But after that she's quite, and of all things Junko lets go of his hand to effectively lay her head in his lap.]

This wasn't the way things were when they were young, was it? When they were young, they were equals. Both of them looked up to their older brother in their own way - Junko used to worship him when they both came into this crawlspace together, though that did change more around middle school for her. They got in trouble together, him and Junko, and their older brother sort of suffered for it all. But Koji...

Huh. He gives a little huff at that, not responding verbally. But he does reach down to brush aside her bangs a little, so he can look at her in his lap ]

[He doesn't answer but she laughs a little,] I'll consider that as an 'I missed you too, Junko'.

[She's partially teasing there, but this is nice. To her, it does kind of go back to those days, which were arguably better. Just her and Koji, before she felt anything for Yamato.

[ He answers her immediately, without giving it any real thought. Was this to say he had thought about it before? No, it was just because he had kind of just said something off the cuff. He missed her too...

He did miss her, honestly.

They did connect, did understand each other pretty well. ]

[ But that's weighted - honestly, he probably wouldn't handle it like that. Okay, he might at first, but... he had a sweet side to him too. ]

[She snorts a little because in what universe is she not that? She'd probably do it if he asked or just outright demanded, honestly. It's easy to be less uptight about it all now that she's got Rin and everything feels a little more stable.]

[There's a whole bunch of other stuff in there - she's sorry about not coming around more often, not trusting him more, not spending more time with him because she does love Koji, a whole hell of a lot more than he could ever really know. It was only a few small decisions, little quirks, that kept her from adoring him in much the same way she did Yamato, after all.]

[ He makes some strange noise at that, like he was trying to dismiss it as being no problem. But he knew that it was a problem or she wouldn't have addressed it. But at the same time... he didn't reach on out to her either. He had known something was strange there. He had known she was sneaking out and justified it as not being his problem, and gave her space.

Maybe he should have needled her. He exhales, and... ]

Also I'd knock you up.

[Maybe things would have panned out differently if someone had just thought to ask her what was wrong, but they'd all been trying to deal with their parents weird relationship issues, then their grandmother's death and Christmas ... It was all a rush of events so even Junko couldn't blame Koji for not noticing. She put a lot of effort into looking less aimless and scared than she actually was, after all.]

[It's not even a question, but the idea still makes her smile a little weirdly and she's not sure why. Rin would have to be okay with it, but!]

[ Right not he's not sure of much oh of anything. Her kiss surprises him but he adapts and leans into it quick enough all the same. She was turned on by that? What a slut. Didn't she just talk highly of their uncle...

[She knows that it probably doesn't in much the same way everyone but Koji and Veronica know that the two of them are pretty much inseparable. Junko can't really hope that things will go back to the way they were between herself and her brother, but she does want to feel close to him again, so this can work as a start.

She pulls him forward, and moves herself back a little carefully so that neither of them hits the beams, but it's only right that he end up on top - at least for the beginning round.

And she did talk highly of Rin, thank you very much! That's her mate. But that whole 'loving someone without monogamy' thing is beginning to make a little more sense.]

[ Something is happening here, something he is pretty sure that he comprehends, but he's not really sure he understands every detail of it. Junko was an unfathomable young woman now, not quite the girl who he understood everything about. ... If he did understand everything about, that is. At the time, it seemed simple, she was demanding and spoiled and deeply affectionate towards her father and their older brother, she cried when he went to a different school and that was the beginning of the end. She was always interested in sciences and she could tolerate the autopsy scenes in CSI shows (which he never could) but couldn't tolerate the gore in the M rated games he played when he was like ten under the table (but he always could tolerate.

But now...

Well, he's on top of her, and they're kissing, not breaking the kiss and instead just wrapping his arms a little, not quite around her, but brushing her neck and upper body. ]

[But now she's just ... Scared. A lot. Pretty much all the goddamn time. That, aside from her relationship with her parents, is really all that has managed to change in so few years. Everything with Yamato was inevitable, and now she felt better about it, that wasn't so bad. But in many ways she'd been edging on throwing the same fits she would as a kid, but she'd never quite winded up to it.

Maybe if she had someone would have done something, she might have made a better decision, and things would be weird. But she didn't.

So here they are, and while it occurs to Junko that he's not as aggressive as usual, and that kind of worries her, she tries to ignore it. Her scent idles out like a low impulse, she hasn't managed to calm it down since being with Rin so there's a hint of that underlying espresso smell, so cloying that it can almost register as a taste rather than a scent.]

[ That thread of her scent had been there since they started kissing, since she shifted so that he was on top of her. But it hadn't been as strong, not at the start. The young man's eyes are wide now, breaking the kiss to panting up away from her. He looks down at her with some awe, but mostly...

Well, her scent was demanding, cloying. It reminded him of his mom's in some way, even if there's a more detectable order from her. It makes his own come out, swirl in the air. He's still not sure he gets this moment, but right now, she clearly was being a bitch, right? So he would - should - treat her like that. The young man thus seems to come to a choice, eyes locked with her, and reaches his small hands down to firmly grab either side of the collar of her top and with the sort of situational strength that their father could sometimes display, he made to rip it off her, perhaps literally in half.

[Koji isn't a feelings type of guy, so any display of emotion, even slight, is notable as far as Junko is concerned. She smiles up at him in that moment because she's happy. She loves Rin with every iota of her body but she loves her brother's too. It's incredibly strange, how she ends up embodying her father's ideals despite being mildly confused by it all, sometimes.

He does make a point, and she hopes it's what she thinks it is.]

[She's teasing, of course, even as her top rests in two large, very useless pieces. She gets her arms out of them but otherwise doesn't pay it any mind. That she's not wearing a bra might be somewhat notable.]

[ He isn't, and in face the little smirk he gives her after she speaks up probably speaks volumes more than whatever else he could say. To think he didn't want to, please. He might've come here to think, but Koji wasn't about to pass up any chance offered to him like this and even if he did, Junko's scent wouldn't have even allowed him to in the first place. He considers saying something like that, but he thinks better of that, instead snorting and bringing his small hands with those delicate fingers up to cup both of her breasts. Even in the dim light of his crawlspace, though... ]
