[ Nathan moved into tow and that was awkward, Yamato and Nariko probably have some sort of a relationship and that's awkward, Yamato's been trying to make new friends so that's interesting, and Masaomi and Nariko are hopefully solid as anything after that trip, Nathan and Yamato complications aside. There's a new pack member that Masaomi met at a party and Nariko met in class. It's been over a month since the new year began and the old one concluded.

A lot's changed and yet not a lot had at all.

And frankly, things were probably just going to change that much more in the coming days and weeks. this might be edited to something more poetic later once we conclude more stuff about that other log ]

The absurdity of that is not lost on him. He isn't quite sure where his mate is right now and he's not sure what's up with Ada either. Both of those are points he needs to address. Tom has tried to approach him for advice in planning airfare for reasons he can't even begin to describe and he's losing business. He's in pain and he hasn't talked to his oldest son in two days. Being bedridden even if he's not bedridden has him frustratedly out of the loop.

Either way, Audrey opens the take-out and, honestly, it's Masaomi's favorite or whatever, largely because Audrey isn't the one who picked it out - she was just the delivery girl in this sense, but was allowed to take credit for it. So whatever might be comforting or at least lift his mood a bit, that's what she's ended up getting! Audrey drags over the little mobile table so he can eat comfortably.]

But he'll allow her to take the credit, a deeply nostalgic look coming into his eyes as he rummages in the bag to see not only was there soba noodles, but also of all things there was also some Japanese desserts in the bottom. He laughs at that outright, taking out the take out container and feeling for the disposable chopsticks. ]

[She reaches up to poke his temple lightly, but mostly does a good job of dealing with the bags and waste that tends to come with take-out. Considering that the extent of Audrey's knowledge of Japanese food is just sushi, yeah, there's no way she picked it out or has any idea why he's so genuinely pleased to go through what is there.]

You'll come back in a blaze of glory like last time! [Cue the dramatic, enthusiastic nod - but that falls away quickly too, because why should she pick a tone.]

[She is wearing her collar, it's become a daily accessory at this rate, though she tends to put it on when coming back from school. It didn't feel right to wear it there. So he does end up tugging on it and she submits to that willingly, as if his speed hadn't caught her off guard a little bit.]
