[ Well Koji just didn't want to have her puke everywhere or something because he was having sex with her or being rough. After all, most people don't like to have sex when they feel sick, right? And when Veronica moves like that--

Koji's actually a little annoyed - he had expected her to hold onto him and keep him there if he intended to go and she didn't want her to. But all the same, he should have seen that coming.

[Honestly, the guy doesn't even want to pretend at playing ball! What a shame. It's not like Veronica would have actually gone and done anything serious! Nathan is about as off limits as Yamato is, after all, but it would have been much more fun if he at least tried to flirt back a little or gave some non-verbal sign of approval. Koji, for his part, huffs a little and pulls her in closer to him as Nathan makes to walk outside the door. He's both surprised and relieved she didn't try to lay it on more thick.

He's going to at least kiss her several times more here. And he should probably make it clear he was worried about her being sick than anything else. If he remembers to say it... Oh well...

[You should probably, absolutely do that, Koji, especially since while she is feeling a little nauseous it's really not the extent that she'd be sick! Now, this morning? That would have been the case! But not right now, and especially not with the mint. Bless older people's knowledge of these things.

So while they're up there making out and such, Nathan goes downstairs!

Audrey isn't exactly lingering around the kitchen but we're going to say there's some piece of art or another that needs to be guided into Nathan's home, and Audrey is currently staring at it. She likely sees him on his way back.]

Hey, when you get a second Tom needs to know where to put this!

[ hey, he was worried okay. Barfing on someone isn't sexy for anyone and he's going to make out but probably not suck on tits because Nathan will be right back and she at least would be embarrassed maybe? He's really so soft on her.

Audrey! Junko must've gone off somewhere else and- Oh. He blinks and is now holding a glass making good for the water and, ]

[Veronica would probably not even be vaguely embarrassed right now. It's her own fault for being too prideful to admit that she wants to go home and doesn't want to bother with a stupid party or unpacking things or boxes or packing bubbles! She wants to be in Koji's room with his bed and the wind chime she bought for the place since his room has a bigger window than her own!

But in another space, Audrey nods easily though she's a little curious as to why he's getting water for someone other than himself! But if someone was seriously harmed she'd probably know about it.]

[ And... Heroic Dash time! Up the stairs and to the guest bedroom where he can pass off the glass of water to the couple who is -

[Said dude is probably somewhere nearby or whatever, right? Or maybe he went to Nariko to get some nails or little supplies like that and is coming back. Who knows. For being a smaller house their entire pack is doing a good job of remaining spread out in it.]

[ Tom is indeed coming back - he's in the foyer and makes his way down the hall with some nails in his mouth and a hammer swinging in his hands. That said, he's also a bit off, so Nathan doesn't immediately take notice of it, particularly looking at the art piece. Audrey's right, it's probably not good here in the hall, but where would it go? He frowns, and taps his foot. ]

I did not plan this far ahead. Hrm...

[ Well... ] It'd probably look good in the dining part of the kitchen, but I'd need to see it there. Wanna help me move it here?

[ And now, Tom speaks up, voice a bit muffled by the way he's holding the nails (in trying to look cool) but - ] Oh no, let me - she'll hold the hammer.

[.... There is so much about all of that behavior that is wrong because who the hell carries nails in their mouth??? But this is Tom so it's not worth questioning too much. When he mentions the hammer of course her hand comes up to take it.]

How about I take more than just that?

[Spit out the nails, dude, and save her from the awful visions of you falling and piercing the upper part of your mouth or something horrifically awful like that.]

[ But it made him look cool his daddy used to do it like that-- but fine, fine, he spits them out into his hand and hands them off to her too, looking a little bit put out to be proved definitively Not a Carpenter. He'd suck at that anyway though and so he shakes it off and turns to Nathan smiling ]

[ Whoa hey- ] Hey, I'm not the boss here, just someone moving into town. But same, I really appreciate everyone coming to help me out like this.

[ Tom tuts and looks over at the art before looking back at Nathan ] Well, I don't think anyone could refuse Nariko's request, it's true.

Thank you. [He gets a Look that should really only be delegated to one with an actual girlfriend status but, hey, what can Audrey even attempt to say here? She's a worrier, and Tom's still got a soft spot in her for one reason or another. So the tails and hammer are held safely without any tossing or proximity to ones tongue.

She does laugh at at that final bit though - how many times has Nathan heard something to that effect? Is he finally beginning to understand that it all goes back into taking care of their own, even in an abstract way?

Tom, right, so you thought it belonged here?

[ Tom looks at the art, and finally shakes his head ] Naw, not really - I just kidna didn't know where it ought to go and so I just let it sit here, y'know?

[ Nathan nods, ] Yeah, I can't blame you - even if I'm surprised Nariko didn't just style the house herself entirely, including this one. I half expected to have to fiddle with it myself once everything was done sometime next week.

[ Hah. ] Ain't that the truth? I don't know how she is with you as her brother, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see her do it either.

I'm so telling on the both of you.

[Though it's entirely possible that the woman in question would probably admit to over organizing for the sake of all involved anyway, so maybe it's not much of a real threat.]

It's difficult to place but it's also really cool. But with a baby around and Veronica, I was kind of worried someone might smack into it.

[So she'd insisted to Tom that they at least had to put it up and out of the way before one of them, in all their hurrying to get stuff done, tripped over something that might very well be the cost of the house itself.]

'Bout time. [ Tom answers. But okay, him and Nathan nod at each other and go to collect the art between the two of them, making ready to lift it up carefully and carry it with them ]

That said, Nathan sort of looks confused at her for many long seconds and then says... something which might be disastrous in the context of her relationship with Sullivan as well as their current arguments ]
